Beaufort is a company with focus and momentum driven by an experienced, highly skilled team. Time and time again, our technology has been proven in the marketplace. We use our industry experience coupled with our technical prowess to anticipate and deliver superior products and services well before our competitors. Our goal stays simple: to deliver innovative and best-in-class digital imaging software to our customers.
Based on Basics
Beaufort's commitment to software design and customer success is simple: each technical feature addresses a business need identified by our customers. Our software isn't about technical razzle-dazzle. We don't rely on our technical prowess to sell--our business strengths and commitment to our customers do that for us. We use our technical prowess to shape our customer's success using one of the most fundamental tenets of business: Profit = Revenue-Expenses. At Beaufort, each feature included on a customer build is plugged in to that basic business equation to ensure we positively impact our customer's P&L statement.
Consider for example, our Hardware Certification Process. This Process optimizes every component of a kiosk's hardware with our software, maximizing the kiosk's performance, keeping revenues high and expenses low. The Process, by identifying potential points of failure and optimizing performance, maximizes kiosk uptime. That's important because a down kiosk can't generate orders, which means customer revenues are taking a hit. Additionally, a down kiosk generates a service call, which drives an increase to the customer's expenses. If revenues are down and expenses are up, it's easy to see that profits will suffer.
At Beaufort, our design goals also reflect our commitment to true photographic principles-we build our software to fit photography, we don't force photography to fit our software*. Our guiding principle is to produce high quality photographic images cropped and color matched to the screen because repeat business for the retailer depends on a positive WYSIWYG experience. Repeat business that is sure to increase revenues, minimize expenses and drive profits.
*Our commitment to true photographic principles is why our software, unlike most of our competitors, asks the consumer to choose the size of the output last. It's all about something called aspect ratios-a technical element that can cause images to crop poorly if not managed properly. At BFS, we know it's best to manipulate images after the final size has been defined because of the differing aspect ratios. It's the best way to produce a superior product and more repeat business for our customers!!
Adding Value-Add
The entire time we're developing our software, we are thinking about three things:
- The software has to make money
- The software has to work
- The software has to generate repeat business
To ensure the software makes money for our customer, Beaufort relies on our ability to specifically target our software to uniquely match needs of our customer and their install location, vis-à-vis demographics, consumer buying patterns, et cetera. For example, our maternity ward kiosk emphasizes repeat multi-print package orders while our integrated online photo kiosk encourages new customers to create online accounts.
To ensure our software works, we rely on our Hardware Certification Processes to maximize the potential of the customer hardware. Furthermore, our certification processes are unique to each customer and test the configuration, compatibility and reliability of all peripheral devices within the kiosk design to ensure our client's ROI is where it should be.
To ensure Beaufort software generates repeat business for the retailer, we deliver the best product for the consumer, one that honors photographic goals, so the consumer really does enjoy the WSIWYG adage. This is not so with many of our competitors' products where the on-screen and in-hand results are often different.
Our software has been around. The bumps are ironed out-we know what works well and what doesn't work at all. We have the ability to make each photo experience a good one for the consumer so we generate repeat business for the retailer. We protect the bottom line for the retailer while delivering a superior product to the consumer.
